The seminars will cover the latest technological and regulatory trends, best practices, and practical applications of science and technology for pharmaceutical industry professionals. Find the full conference program here.
  • The Rx Lounge will function as a networking area, where pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, medical device and biotechnology professionals can meet with exhibitors and peers. The lounge will be staffed bysubject matter experts from ISPE to address attendees’ pain points and questions.

Here are a few of the innovations you can expect to see at the show as well as the co-located PACK EXPO Las Vegas:

  • New Rotary Screw Compressor Increases Efficiency by 26 Percent

Kaeser Compressors, Inc. (Booth S-7362) will showcase the SFC 22, the latest iteration of the SFC variable speed drive compressor, at PACK EXPO Las Vegas. The high-performance SFC 22 increases energy-saving potential by using a combination of true drive direct design, premium efficiency motors, lower internal pressure differential, optimized airends and built-in heat recovery options. New features also include an enhanced cooling design, eco-friendly filter element, integral moisture separation with drain and an electronic thermal management system.

  • 15 Degree Roller Belt Allows for Smoother Transfers

Habasit America’s (Booth S-7433) new M5482 roller top belt for 90-degree transfers enables smoother transitions along the packaging line and, because of its unique-15 degree rotation design, reduces damage to packages. The M5482 belt’s closed edges and patent smart-fit rod retention system provide an advantage over the competition. The ability to perform 90-degree transfers allows product flow to occur without using radius conveyors, saving valuable square footage on factory floors. The belt allows for an inch from the edge to the centerline to the first roller and two inches of lateral spacing.

  • Cost-Efficient Pharmaceutical Integrity Test System Features Easy Setup

Pfeiffer Vacuum (Booth N-861) will introduce the AMI 120 in-line and non-destructive system for pharmaceutical tests. The highly sensitive system conducts real time quantitative leak measurements for contaminants such as humidity, oxygen and microbiological ingress. The system, which features high sensitivity, throughput and process control, is easy to set up and operate.

  • Inspection Method for Pharma Provides High Productivity for Large Volumes

The Brevetti (Booth N-509) BL-S300 boasts robust construction, high productivity and reliable performance. The cutting-edge machine is the perfect response to the large-volume parenteral (LVP) inspection requirements. BL-S300 applies groundbreaking technologies and LVP-dedicated software to achieve the same inspection capabilities achieved by the alignment of the vision systems while covering the LVP containers dimensions from 100–1000 ml.

  • Transdermal Patch X-Ray Inspection Technology Enables Excellent Contamination Detection

Anritsu (Booth N-524) will unveil its new XR75 Transdermal Patch Inspection technology equipment, which was specifically designed for thin, low-density products. Anritsu’s HD imaging enables excellent contamination detection, virtual weighing and counting/missing detection. The X-Ray system detects patch products caught in the seal area and provides best-in-industry detection accuracy, versatility and flexibility. The XR75 is easy to operate, clean and maintain.

  • Improved Package Coating Enhances Surface Texture

The Filmquest Group (Booth S-8244) will introduce its CP-267 Series Ultra Low Gloss Soft Velvet TouchMatte coating for various packaging applications. The proprietary coating is typically applied topolyester, polypropylene, nylon films and other substrates. The gloss’ improved qualities include aunique soft velvet-touch surface texture, backside printability, high coefficient of friction (COF) andconsistent ultra-low gloss and opacity levels.
