Hydrocortisone inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting the enzyme phospholipase A2. Hydrocortisone reduces various vasoactive agents released during inflammation. It also controls the rate of protein synthesis. Pharmacology Hydrocortisone is a naturally occurring corticosteroid, which causes profound and varied metabolic effects. Bromazepam is a pyridylbenzodiazepine compound with anxiolytic properties. In low dosage, it diminishes anxiety, tension and nervousness. In high dosage, the sedative and muscle-relaxant properties appear. Pharmacology: Bromazepam is a benzodiazepine with anxiolytic and sedative properties, which are of value in the symptomatic relief of pathological anxiety in psychoneurotic patients. The absolute bioavailability of unchanged, orally administered bromazepam is 60%, and peak blood levels are achieved within 2 hours after administration.
